The alloy Team TT is an entry level bike, but it got very strong reviews on launch in 2017 and is only now cheap because it's now discontinued and there is some stock still kicking around out there. Time trialists and triathletes can be a bit snobby about kit and most will insist on a carbon frame, even though it more than doubles the cost for a much smaller gain.

I'd get a bigger gain by losing a stone or two, but in the meantime, I've outgrown my road bike, so had a choice of a new carbon road bike or keeping my current road bike and buying a TT bike. I was looking at used bikes, but I need an XS frame, not many triathletes out there buying XS bikes, so I needed to go new.

Arrived yesterday, will try and find time to get it on the road tomorrow for a short ride at the local country park.

The above link is the TT220 magazine transcript. Beat a bike which had an original price double what I've ended up paying.
I have an Cannondale mountain bike (Jeckyl 1000) with lefty front fork, Hope brakes and Foxpro rear shock. It must be 15 years old so it's not up with the latest and greatest, but in use, it's far better than me and it can even make me look like a fairly good MTB rider. My point? Bicycles (unlike electric cars or IT tech) the ordinary rider can get a great ride for really reasonable money by simply avoiding the latest tech.

PS Losing a couple of stone would would make huge difference to my performance.

I have a Boardman MTB donít see the problem, it now owned by halfords but didnít use to be, halfords had an exclusive deal to sell them in the uk and eventually bought the company. They donít make £100 steel framed cheap bikes
They make good quality frames and use quality parts.

Great name for brakes, brought a smile.

On a similar note, there's a building company in Newbury called "Hope & Clay". They've been around a long time, so the name can't be putting people off. Makes me smile every time I see one of their vans, always makes me think, is that the company name or a building method.

Then there's the English surname "Doctor" which is believed to have evolved from Dohtor which meant daughter.

But you could be a medic with a PhD making you Doctor Dr Doctor Phd.

I've seen similar animal friendships on the telly, but not this one. Kind of makes up for all the crap that's going on here & afar in a small way when you see things like this.

Just seen the video, honestly I'm a bit emotional.

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

It's always amusing when people complain about the adverts they see - especially when it's for things like Thai / Russian brides, or 'escort' services.

They get terribly defensive when you point out that adverts are targeted based on browsing history!

My moment to make me smile today was getting my 25th volunteer credit at parkrun, meaning I can now proudly wear a 25 milestone volunteer t-shirt, along with my 50 and 100 run shirts.
(Next milestone is about 2 years away - for 250 runs. Currently on 192)

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Me too!

They do appear to be pretty standard Wish adverts, though.

Not sure why I started getting Wish adverts - maybe because I've browsed Ali Express recently, so I'm obviously in the market for cheap tat?
