I believe the term would be “Dick move” on your part not his.
I couldn't see if the TT was occupied until I pulled up behind it. Besides if he wasn't parked like a arsehole in a vagina on wheels of a car he wouldn't have to deal with someone being a dick.

Someone tried to take the GTi badge off the back of my 206...

...I found them on the floor so I had to stick them back on in the right order.

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Got a call from a friend needing to replace his brake pads on a 2002 Suzuki Carry van.
Despite age, it all came apart easily, had to have a long drive in the countryside to collect some discs, but otherwise an easy job.
Bled the brakes through too, to replace the fluid. All bleed nipples still wearing their unperished caps, and all came undone easily.

New pads were a little tight in the carriers, so needed the edges filing down, long time since I've needed to do that, but otherwise a simple job without hitch. Joy!

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Whatís making me smile is Iím on a train going to the Lake District to pick up a 27 year old Mk2 Golf GTI, my trusty fiat isnít going anywhere though, but just the thought is making me grin. Lots of welding coming my way in the next few months, Iíve had a good roll around underneath it but best to expect you missed some of it, what also makes me smile is that one I previously did was for sale recently on eBay, I sold it 10 years ago and it was still mint. Fully comp for the year was only just over a hundred pounds itís great being old!!! donít ask about the tax though, maybe thatís for the not made you smile.

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Travelling through Swindon towards home earlier encountered a particularly arrogant 'drains' van. Pushing his way through, forcing others to give way.
About an hour later, after a brief spell in Sainsbury's, I saw him again. He was parked on the verge at a particularly dodgy roundabout, awaiting recovery, with the front of his van squashed.
Karma!
Being in the Panda, he recognised me, so a nice cheery wave was given. He didn't seem pleased to see me?

London motorshow this weekend, although very brief, did meet Tim and Fuzz from Car SOS!

Didn’t see any of the drive tribe bunch but did see Richard Hamond's Opal Kaddett ‘OLLIVEEEERRRRRR’ as well as some very pretty Italians.

Things haven't changed that much, with the right equipment and know how it's very possible for your car to be nicked in very little time.

Now I remember why I never bothered to lock my Escort...

I drove it home once using a small penknife.

Oh, the good old days.

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Cocked up my tax return for year before last. Had to write a pleading letter to HM Revenue. Fat cheque arrived Friday, almost double amount expected. Big smiles.
Paid it into the bank today. "It'll be cleared by Friday" said the lady at the bank. So what happened to fast cheque clearing they were touting only recently?
Made me smile that we had to wait until Friday to know for sure that a government cheque would clear.
