I don't really like shopping at Halfords, but they are convenient. i use Quidco , and they have a scheme where you register your debit card, and every time you make a purchase IN STORE you automatically get 5% cashback in your quidco account - so when you have to make that emergency purchase on a Sunday adternoon, you still get discount.
I used Quidco Compare last year and got cheap insurance and £25 cashback, this year I've got insurance for £140 a year less than last year, and another £50 cashback!
They're also doing big discount on RAC memebrship - a joint membership full RAC home cover is £99, plus £60 cashback - I know you have to lay out first, but if you can afford it...
I use startrescue for breakdown cover - £39 a year including home cover, and another 15% cashback through Quidco.
I know this sounds like an advert, but I forgot all about doing it last year, and when I checked I had £50 in my account ready to be paid to me... money for doing nothing.
You also get over 10% cashback at Boots for pressies for the wife, 6% at play.com for toys and gadgets, etc.
It really is too good to turn down, it's all free - they take the first £5 of your earnings every year, but you can easily save more than that on car insurance cash back etc... Save all the time like me!
