Just out of interest, why did you go in to the back of another vehicle?
What were the circumstances?
Not wishing to make judgements as plenty of people have done it, but it might help somebody else doing the same.

Do you have any money to hand at the moment? Plenty of cheap cars on AutoTrader.

Family might be a good idea if you pay it back, might be awkward if you're not likely to pay it back though! Thats what I did with my Gran for my Focus. Luckily she didn't mind when I payed her back, and let me miss a couple of payments as I needed the money to fix my car.

I would try and stay away from loans though.

How much would it be to fix your car?

You got any pictures at all? Tbh i dont think that is right that they might be writing it off, its worth more than that..

Buy it back from the insurance company, break it and sell the parts, then scrap the shell, should get you back more than you'd have to pay for it.
3 cars in a row written off - if that was me tbh I'd be looking at a scooter, something much cheaper and a lot harder to kill! Especially since public transport obviously isn't an option.

More likely to kill yourself though! Id seriously look at buying really cheap cars with as much mot as possible and running them into the ground instead of shelling out for expensive cars again

With the minimum of offence intended to the OP - they obviously feel too safe behind the wheel of a car and let their concentration lapse, much harder to do that on a bike/scooter as you know you're completely exposed and mistakes will see you get seriously hurt.

Yeah thats true, i used to ride a scooter and although i was confident riding it i was always more comfortable behind the wheel of a car so i guess you just know if somethings going to happen on a scooter, your more likely to get hurt badly so you need to concentrate at all times

i had a scooter for 3 years, in winter months its horrible, i live in a very rural area with lots of tractors about, the conditions of the roads round here is very dangerous for pushbikes, let alone 2 wheel with an engine!

Gutted for you, I've done the exact same thing several years ago. Did you take photo's of the damage to the other car? I didn't do that and my insurance paid out without question for a full respray new bumper and new lexarse lights for the car I hit - I didn't take any photos at all so my insurance just forked out - which pushed my premium's through the roof. All that was damaged was the light cluster had cracked and there was some of my paint on their metal bumper :(

I'd recommend some very cheap and cheerful - your insurance is probably going to enough to fund a small mission to the moon!
