Has anyone used collect+ (HDN parcel delivery)

Folks,

been doing some research on couriers as I have a mountain of stuff to put onto ebay, after a long lull, and now winter is approaching, I wont be off out every weekend for the day.
For items upto ,say 10 kg, recently I have been booking a courier via parcel2go, to collect from work.
My work hours have changed recently, and are often changed at short notice. It's good for me, as i gives me some much needed overtime, however, it makes things a little awkward to book a courier.
The collect+ service idea seems great, I pay online for the parcel service, then drop it off at a local shop for it to be collected.
I have used the HDN network a few times for collection from work, booked via parcel2go with no problems.

Has anyone had any experience of using them?

ive used it 3 times so far no problems, the size restrictions stop me using it more often though, nothing longer than 50cm is allowed

Thanks for the reply Dave, size restriction may be aproblem for myself too, I dabble in hifi separates, which are typically 44cm wide, keeping the parcel size down to 50cm would mean hardly any packing, which isn't a great idea....

they are cheap
you are very reliant on the quality of courier at each end
used them bfore iwth little issue
one word of warning for your buyers though. the list of Collect+ shops isnt accurate and can contain shops who no longer do it or dont even exist.

if you live in a safe area http://www.myhermes1.co.uk/ has a bit on booking where you can state a safe place you have left them outside for collection. they put a card in the door when they do that so you know they have got them
