haha yea thats what we have for now. we're goin to the shop today actually to shoot some of this stuff after its actually been installed. still have a long way to go

Without wanting to be rude ... much ... the only people who care about what goes to SEMA, are the people that go to SEMA. If you want to show us what you're up to great, I'm all for that, but f'k this air of secrecy, it's just annoying. Either show us something or don't post at all.

Surely you can at least show us the car as it started?

ok i see what i did wrong. im new to the whole forum scene... clearly haha. you might hate these too but here are some videos of where the car started:

Thanks for posting those videos... but it doesn't really help..... we are Fiat enthusiasts and already know what a 500 looks like ;)

So far I deduced that you've taken delivery of a 500 and used it to take your dog for a drive, then you let your mates use it for jumping over in skateboards.

I just don't get what you've done / doing that hasn't already been done and is worthy of all the effort for the videos and photo shopping and secrecy

am I too old?? have I missed the plot?? I've got more questions that an old person trying to use a smartphone for the first time :p:cool:

Will you be doing this as a one off, will you make the mods available for worldwide shipping, what's the aim of your project, whose funding it, why are you doing it, why a 500. Why does your shopping list in the first post not have any names that anyone has ever heard of before? Are you going to swap body panels to carbon fibre, are you increasing performance......... my head is going to explode (n)

essentially, the point of the build is to produce a show car, express our creativity... in that, actually, i see your point... i shouldve waited until we had a finished product to display it... however the point of the post is to discuss the concept of the build and to hear what people think or hear what they would have done to create a Fiat that is ready for the action-sport enthusiast... i now, sadly much later than i would've liked, see that i didnt make that clear enough and that this probably is not the best community within which to discuss such concepts. instead of sparking creativity, ive upset some people and for that, i apologize... i will definitely be more attentive in my future posts... as for the shopping list: the companies named are pretty big stateside and/or are up and coming companies

Being an "action sport enthusiast" myself I'd have the following to suggest:

Plenty of easy to access storage
Extra 12v sockets everywhere
Boot lip that you can sit on for changing
AC invertor with easy to access sockets
Wet storage (wetsuits / towels etc)
Easy to use roof bars / rack surfboards kayaks mountains bikes etc
Don't use deep pile carpets, they are a pain to clean
Ground clearance is important, a lot of places that action takes place often have rough tracks for getting to the car park
Decent all weather all terrain tyres - saves getting the drive wheels bogged down in mud and sand
Heated seats are a must (Helz I love you for introducing me to the joys of heated seats after a cold wet days in the mountains!!!)

However I get the impression that whilst you think you are targeting the "action sport enthusiast" you will actually be targeting "Street or Urban" sport enthusiasts that like a hot hatch for cruising and posing, will then pull up somewhere and whip out a skateboard or start jumping building to building "parkour" style.

I am not down on you or your idea, just trying to give constructive feedback that helps you target the right people and places :slayer

this makes much more sense... thank you very much for your help!

Ok.

This is a forum full of FIAT drivers and enthusiasts, and we do enjoy seeing a build take place.

But the first post does read a bit like something that had been written by marketing people to be copied and pasted into several forums, ie a bit spammy, hence the hostility.

Also, the thread should have some in the 500 section (probably).

For those of you still interested:
As SEMA nears, our show car continues to transform into the vision set forth by Tribe. Louie and Danny from L-Con have fabricated and installed the box. Vinny and Kelvin from Tribe helped out with the installation of the box and the seats.

The box installation required a false-floor to be put in, a sliding rack to provide the pathway for the box to move, and will eventually have drawers installed to hold parts and tools.

The seats were fitted with katzkins upholstery by Danny and will help make the interior pop and match the rest of the car.

The Fiat is on its way to being done and we couldn't be happier with the way it's coming along.
