Re: Anyone named their cars?

Never used to till i met my wife, She name'd all our cars, and quite frankly since i've never had any bother!
I used to be the guy that bought cars and no matter what i did they went wrong constantly until we named them,
Cars have feelings and souls too

So now we have Bella Bravo and Purple Ronnie the civic (or Ronnie for short).

Re: Anyone named their cars?

ive named all of mine.. but the name comes from the registration...

1st Car; Seat Leon GK02NDY - Noddy (was red as well )
was unreliable, coil packs and oil pump fail, written off eventually. Despite the name this car was Female, in my opinions she had times of the month when she was grumpy and wouldnt work (not to be sexist )

2nd Car; Fiat Punto YG55KNN - Kenny
Unreliable as well, but such a fun car. sold for current car. This car was male, strong, until it caught Man Flu and become a wuss...

3rd Car; Vauxhall Astra AX04ZGG - Alex
Current car, owned for 4 months and not had a problem with it yet. this ones another Female... Alex or Alexia... however people have called her Ziggy... which im not a fan of... its ALEX

Same as that, apart from my old classic mini, was a 1986 C reg, named Clarice

Since I have been with my girlfriend,
My last car Alfa 156 had the original name Alf-Alfa.

The Cento is called Fargus, as its not the best looking car, bright green and not that big. So Shrek was out the window, instead named after one of Shreks kids.

Re: Anyone named their cars?

Mines called Hal because of small piece of an old sticker was left when I tried to take it off, really old and hard to get off. Although my friends GF calls it Wayne because of the WAE in the numberplate.

Re: Anyone named their cars?

Mine is called Billy

Reg is W132, William for the W, Billy for short...so I have Billy the Bravo

Previous cars have had names too, I've had Phoebe (P reg brava), Percy (P reg Hyundai accent), Terry (T reg Hyundai accent), The Bowl (BWL ending Bravo HGT).

Out of all those cars my current one is the only one that has given me problems, maybe it doesn't like the name?

Re: Anyone named their cars?

1. Punto - Punto mk1 75
2. Shed - Punto mk1 60
3. French crap/ boat - Xsara 1.9 td
4. The Shed - Punto mk1 60.

All for obvious reasons, two are sheds... Bodywork wise.
One handled like a boat.
And the other didn't deserve a name apart from resident on my drive.

Re: Anyone named their cars?

I'll also name the older car of mine.. the Beetle is called Archie..

no obvious reason for that one...

As my dads old Volvo V70 T5, he used to call it Sponge.. mainly because it was a sponge on our money...
