hit and run driver

see it's folk like that have made me so scared of driving! You can be the best driver in the world and it just takes one looney trying to get somewhere quick! It's taken me till i'm 25 and in real need of having a car to do it and it stills scares the hell out of me!

just hope the old guy was ok and he see's some justice done!

its even worse on the bike or on foot!
I had a woman go right through a pedestrian crossing the other day going at least 30 (in a 30)
if i hadnt looked at her and realised she would have no doubt ploughed through me

Aye, i had a Fiat Panda in Orange do this to me last month.. wasn't happy though took his numberplate down incase he did something.
Yeah, I've ridden motorbikes on a CBT since october, and the amount of cars that don't give a **** about bikes is unbelievable, I mean, the bike I had, wasn't exactly quiet, was more or less a motocross bike, yet I had endless amounts of people pulling out, over-taking, cutting me up, was horrible. I'll be glad to be in something bigger soon!

If it is genuine footage, it is compelling evidence for cameras to be installed in all vehicles.

There's been a couple of cases round here recently, one on a narrow country lane, just wide enough for two vehicles in places (if you take it carefully) old man in a car goes head to head with an Asian taxi driver - so pros and cons for blaming either side.
And Elderly couple go head to head with a young couple on a very straight, open stretch of road which goes from 60 to 40 through a tiny village. The accident happened at a spot where there is a large ghost island to let vehicles out of a staggered crossroads. Again, pros and cons for blaming either side.

In both cases, police are scratching their heads as evidence is extremely slim and no witnesses.
In both cases, there were fatalities.

In both cases, even the cheapest of dashcams would have provided vital evidence.
If this is genuine, I hope they throw the book at her & that the person she sideswiped is OK.
Whatever the outcome I hope the footage is used to persuade insurers to offer good discounts for using dashcams.
