I have a very odd phobia about dead cockroaches - live ones are no problem, as soon as I see them I'll chase them and either spray them with the killer spray, or shoot them with my airgun.

But.

Once they are dead, I cannot touch them - even with a dustpan or brush - so I have to leave them for days until the ants come and eat them or someone comes to visit and I ask them to remove them .

And on the opposite side of the scale - I cannot squish live mosquitos. If they start biting me, I have to blow on them to make them fly off, or just wait for them to go. But once they're in flight, a quick zap with the electric bat thing - and then squish them in tissue and I'm fine.

My mum just thinks I'm weird .... lol

Dunno how it all came about, but it sucks when a cockroach dies in the front room and I have to look at it for days ... grrrr

Possibly - I just wish someone would hurry up and remove the one from next to the washing machine!

I'd be too creeped out to empty the bag... I could hire a maid to come round once a week actually - then the floor will be cleaner too!

And you can't hire a maid to lift dead bugs for you. That would be about as un-macho as it's possible to be.

She'd do other things too, clean the bathroom floor for a start

But anyway, it's just cockroaches (and big spiders) - anything else I'm fine with

Big spiders? Then you probably aint a fan of what is outside my bedroom door at the moment....


She is a Golden Orb spider, about the size of a credit card, absolutely beautiful I reckon.

The spiders one is weird - those type above are ok, it's the brown ones with no eyes (that you can see) that I don't like. I think they're called house spiders, but I'm looking on Google and can't really find anything like them.

The cat next door likes attacking them though ..... which is nice

I don't HATE spiders, quite happy to kill them and get rid of them I dont like the idea of a live one being in a room with me and me not knowing where it is though.

On the otherhand if I had to look at a cockroach not alone kill it or LIVE with it ala Ben I'd rather move out!!!!!

Problem is they are everywhere - at least I usually find dead ones.

I put some strawberry jam on the one in the kitchen, and the ants have already arrived - should be gone in a couple of hours

Yup, and I have heaps of photos to put up if people have more fears :devil: even some awesome moths....

My pet hate (not like we get them much here) is scorpions
