lol....given that I believe the minimum they can "do you for" is 10% + 1-3mph normally I find that difficult to believe or has that changed?

I now know that when doing 33mph in my Laguna I am doing 30mph. 77 does me 70mph.

i thought there was a 10% + 2 rule too, i dont think she would lie though considering her position

my speedo is as accurate as can be, ive been testing it on the road works 'watch your speed' thingy

she could have argued her case gaz.as speedo's aren't callibrated when they leave factory they have to give you 10percent +.if they do you at 32mph especially if you are in a new car you could argue that it's the manufactures fault for putting faulty equipment in the car hence the 10% plus.know this because i spent days on sites reading about the allowed speeds and court cases because i thought i'd been done by a mobile camera (n)

maybe this will help :

there is no actual allowance to being over the limit, the police calibrate ther cameras and lasers once a month and the report is available to the driver of the vehicle stopped (but only if contested in court) an officer will most times let you off with up to 4mph over the limit for either of the equipment being offset ! speedo or laser etc etc etc

hope this helps

I know that round here in dorset they wont even consider points, fines... unless you do more than:

10% + 3.

So a:

30 = 36
40 = 47
60 = 69
70 = 80

EDIT - SNAP. :p

a got done for doing 43 in a 40 on a deul road with house at one side, wan**s, mobile unit caught me, think they shud train these guys to become police men 2 stop crimals n killers instead of pullin me for that, v sad....
