Hey all, anyone use Zazzle at all?
I signed up a year or 2 back and made a couple of things. Forgot all about it and 2 of my things sold! I have $17 something in my account! Woop!

Nice little extra income if you can design decent things that will sell.
Even pays into a paypal account if you have less than $25 in account, if you have more they can send you a cheque.

It is an american site but still take international orders and payments are just converted. Still not bad for sitting at the computer and better than all them cash back ****** sites

There is a lot of this going on ATM. People using amature design to pay peanuts for a job. This seriously undermines the professional industry as other companies expect the same sort of prices.
I certainly wont be signing up to this any time soon although i do use these stock photography sites which run on a similar principle. So i spose its a bit hypocritical.

That's all true but you get paid instead of professional designers. Professional designers could always still use it but to earn your product has to sell. So only the bets make money

Yeah but they dont get paid anything like what the Going rate should be. A freelancer shouldnt work more than 20 minutes to earn $17.

Its a go around to not having to vet the ethnicity of the design. How do they know the artwork is produced using legal means? Dont forget that to legally buy the software you are looking in the region of £1000. Then the computer £2000. Have qualifications to prove their worth at £1000's. Do you really think people are going to do this and charge peanuts p/h?

True but these companys are set up based on it being designed by the people. It offers anybody at all the chance to earn. Instead of having to be a pro to do it. Many people may have good designs they want to get out without spending all that money on equipment. If designs are good enough they could be 'scouted' to work for designing company's.

If they had to pay designers the company would have never existed

So this is your shirt that you 'designed' and are selling:

And here is the original logo:

So I assume you have obtained permission to use the logo as it will almost certainly be copyright protected and therefore I also assume you are sending a percentage of the money earned to the owner of the copyright....?

If not, you are basically creating counterfeit goods and that is pretty serious.

;)

I know I shouldnt have bothered with the apple one but o well.

Just checked the status. Names/titles can't be copywritten, they can be trademarked but misfits isn't so nurr
