Ok sorry it has taken me so long been way too busy with work and college stuff to get on my pc :(

Right my old man said the cheapest within walking distance to the NEC is the holiday inn express which is located near the car parks. The only problem with it he said is there isnt much to do near it theres only a pub and restaurant next to it and thats it, so if you want to go out at the night its a bit dull. But if its just for the one night thats your best bet.

The other one he recommended was The Chamberlin which is within walking distance to birmingham city centre and 20 minutes drive to the NEC. He also said its a really nice hotel and the prices are good.

But if your just going to the max power show then staying the night and going home the holiday inn express is your best bet.

Hope that helps
Bob
