if you click on the fiat forum link or something similar, it registers them as read. Sometimes it takes a while for them to clear (have the same problem)

Im a firefox user
I think its just caused by how you flick backwards and fowards between threads. Sometimes it clears if you navigate using the links, but if you use back in the browser it doesn't (understandibly)

Mine cancel on IE
Mine are cancelling following a forced refresh but if you or your ISP are caching the page then it won't if you're just using the 'back' button. If there's an option to drop the document cache in IE then do that, won't make much difference with a fast line .

I think people are misunderstanding me, it's not the normal no cancel problem sometimes faced when going back with no refresh, no thread i've read for 3 hours is cancelled.
I know what you mean. It makes no difference if you refresh they just stay there. Not all the time just sometimes.

First time that this has happened to me and happened after I viewed a page on http://fiatforum
instead of www.fiatforum

I get the same Paul, if I come on in the afternoon then I come back at night, posts made after my afternoon visit aren't highlighted.

It's fixed now by going to my homepage then coming back, no reason why?!
Good idea that about cookies - have you got a cookie manager/ tried clearing them out?
