How many of you actually have names for your cars?

And is your car "male" or "female"?

I have named both of the cars I have owned, and both have been "male"

My first car a brava 1.2 in bright green was called Shrek(because of the pig uglyness and colour!)

My new car a 1.9 stilo jtd is called "Lord Beausox" but known as "socks" for short, this name was a little more complicated as it is (almost)an anagram of the cars paint colour "Bordeaux old rose" someone said i should call it rosie, but it didn't suit the car, as in my opinion diesel is male.:D

A friend of mine has an audi A3 and has called it "the red Baron" :devil:and another friend called his evo vii "ghost".

anyone else out there named their motor?

My girl called the Punto , "Punto Paul".
And our civic is called "Ronnie", After purple Ronnie because it is purple. :)
Before that i never named any of my cars and tell you what I've had less bother with both these cars now they have names?

Its a car and of neither gender..its made from metal and plastic and cost you an arm and a leg to run ..its a fiat..:D

When I got my car my mate kept telling me i 'should' have a name for it... (her polo is called Polly...) yet I can't bring myself to name it, or even try to decide what gender it is... It's just 'my car'... though it is filled with pink bits, so if it is male I hope it doesn't mind...

Some pain in the arse decided to name my car Nigel. Before that name stuck... (simply because a car can't be a male)

I tried to make a name for it and couldn't actually think of any name but one and that weren't suitable for a car.

Still gets called Punto

My gf decided to call my saxo "saxy" when I had it so was only fair that the punto got a name so she named it polly. lol And I have now got into the habit of saying "her" instead if "it" when talking about the car :( lol

never been too good on names, an ex dubbed my first car "besbie" hence my original user name. the sedici was always the new fiat, or the white one or my teapot. and MG is 'the MG' pretty creative names i know but they seem to do the job.
