My first car a brava 1.2 in bright green was called Shrek(because of the pig uglyness and colour!)

My new car a 1.9 stilo jtd is called "Lord Beausox" but known as "socks" for short, this name was a little more complicated as it is (almost)an anagram of the cars paint colour "Bordeaux old rose" someone said i should call it rosie, but it didn't suit the car, as in my opinion diesel is male.

A friend of mine has an audi A3 and has called it "the red Baron" :devil:and another friend called his evo vii "ghost".

what like the citroen AX :yuck:

AX's were great fun. I have driven a few and they have always been brilliant to rag about especially the ones with the super spongy suspention. I almost rolled one doing a Jturn, the look on the bloke in the passenger seat was an absolute picture.

Ax gt/gtis are great, though vts conversion improves things but before we go off topic.

I think all cars should be female. just like boats!

anyway the uno is called Chuff or in polite company chuffle. not because its a female, but due to its constant habit of exhaust blows and irratic idle.

espace was called bertha for obvious reasons.

but generally i only feel the urgue to name cars when they break and the term is not indearment but female related

My Fiance calls her car "Suzie Grape" lol my First 1996 fiat punto was called "The JUG" because that was the last three letters of the numberplate

i think i just have a thing against french cars and i just dont like the 1.0 AX much rather have its successor at a stretch

I havent named mine yet so any suggestions would be welcome, she is the metallic black one in my profile, but she shines a dark purple in the sun so not actually black ( the other one is my sons, that one doesnt have a name either).

I have previously had a Dark Blue Uno named Esther and a Dark Green Punto named Lester.

I see this Stilo as conservative and classy, in an understated kind of way, she doesnt have any mods at all, she is just beautiful as she is....her name just hasnt come to me yet...any ideas?

i named mine "sapphire" since shes a deep blue haha

All my cars have had names; some of them I can even still remember. Sadly not all can be revealed on a family forum.

Renault made a big thing of this with the promotion for the 5 (remember the 'What's Yours Called?' ads of the late '80s?). I bought one for the wife, & he quickly became known as Arfur, ('cos he was only arf' as big as the company Granada I was driving at the time).

Before that was Patrick, the green Hillman Avenger, which is a double entendre (work it out).

Then came the black Ka, shortly to be sold/scrapped, which I named after Guy Gibson's dog, but then couldn't refer to in public in case it caused anyone any offense.

The Granada got replaced by a little Suzuki Van (cloned Bedford Rascal) called Baldrick (as it was part of my cunning plan to retire early). That lasted over 20 years & finally ended up being traded as scrappage against a 500 last March.

The 500 quickly got a second set of wheels (shoes?) & so I decided it must be a girl. Once I'd waxed it it reminded me of the red lippy from those Maybelline ads & that name seems to have stuck.

The Panda I bought the other week (for herself) was named Pearl just yesterday (her idea - which is at least better than having yet another Snowdrop on the forum). You can probably guess what colour that one is.

my first cinq was scrappy
the focus was ness
the sei was stalker
the calibra was collie-bra
this cinq keeps changing nicknames
my bmw is "the leichenwagen" (german for hearse)

Well, its white, has unlimited amount of lives as its survived everything so i guess lucky is my cars name and its my baby (girl)

My car has a name its called Percy!!
And he is male, about right as he's always breaking but looks so lovely lol

Mines called Blueberry Muffin as all my friends say it smells like one inside also goes well with the colour
