Know a few people have had problems with this, so might make a few people happy.

Wheel clampers are to be banned from operating on private land in England and Wales, the government has said.

The legislation, to be introduced in November, will introduce penalties for anyone clamping a vehicle or towing it away on private land.

Who wants to spend 30 hours in a car?

England needs to start copying Japan, get all your parking lots like this:

Drive into space, metal thing lifts out ground up to "bottom of car" level - and you can't move it again until you've paid at the little machine.

Doesn't need any supervision, so they can use the saved money from hiring the clamping lot to put the machines in - and then maybe lower the prices :)

They even have little ones for motorbikes :)

:nerner:

I took a full blown petrol powered circular saw to one that got me. I did the right thing and rang them to tell them I was cutting it off if someone wasn't there in 5minutes to remove it .

Did anyone turn up?

Edit - I'm guessing not as you said you took a full blown petrol powered saw to it lol.

Would you pay 100's of pounds to have it removed when you know and had it confirmed its all bull****?

Mind you to be fair you strike me as someone who would crap themselves and pay the original extortionate fee

Its people like this that desrves community action rewards, making a stand, he knew he would win in the end

Id happily do something like that, get the media involved as well, these cowboy clampers tend to 'refuse to comment' once the media is involved
