im with DIRECT LINE which comes as an xtra with my insurace, only used it once, and they were quick and friendly so i like them :D

i cant say much about theyre technical knowhow, cuz it was only somethink simple that went wrong  (bloomning FIAT electrics!!)

Im with RAC at the mo, not to bad.

But i fould summit intresting wit the AA which i think some of u may be intrested in.

Wen i needed my ECU read i didnt fancy paying £40 from fiat to have a look at it and so asked the local AA man outside halfrauds if he knew of a place and i was shocked that he said AA have a deal with fiat that if cars under warrenty with fiat breakdown they send the AA to check the damage, and so have the fiat tools for reading fiat ecu's.

He told me if i was signed up wit AA and i called em out, they would read the ecu for free, or bring it along to the little booth they have outside halfrauds and they'll do it for free there, but only if u belong wit them, Unfortunatly i wasnt so paid some other bloke to come round and look at it but i am for sure going wit AA next renewal date.
Ya never know wen they little light might flash on. ;)

My whole family is with AA, they were pretty good for us when we broke down. So they are good there, but...

The route planner on their site is crap compared to rac.

SO rac are better at not getting you lost....

I vote AA because they have yellow cars

RAC membership cards are well cool! much better than the crappy AA ones

I'm different as usual and am with Green Flag through my parents. Have called them out once and they sent a local company but they sorted the problem quicksmart. The plan we have has a fair few extras as well such as home cover and taking me to my destination.

i used to be on my parents aa cover, but as i am now over 21 i needed to be on my own, its cost me £96 (20% discount), for option 300, i though the extra money i needed to pay for option 400 wasnt justifiable

i have called the aa out numerous times, mostly cause of snapped clutch cables, but also when i was at the ff meet in skegness, where i needed a low loader to get me home, as i blew my ecu and there was nothing they could do

i cant really fault them as they have always kept me informed, by either text or phone call, they even gave me priority once as i had my sisters kids in the car.

this is most probably the same with the rac, but as i was used to aa i choose them

another one to try is breakdown cover by tesco, they use greenflag, so you know you will be getting a good deal

Fiat give AA cover as standard, so they are used to dealing with Fiat problems and have a lot of experience. If I had to buy seperate cover I would have the AA for that reason.

Yes, AFAIK, we are Green Flag and I am pretty sure you can have personal cover.

I think if I am correct they can cover say 2 people and a car. So my parents were both covered as people and my car all on one policy - no increase just didn't get European cover on my car. The lady on the phone advised this.

The big cost difference is usually caused when you go from "recovery to nearest garage" to "recovery to home" and the related things to that. It means there's a big jump between the basic recovery.

I'm with the AA. Used them twice now and they were quick and efficient both times.
One was when I was a passenger in my mates car so the personal cover came handy.

I used to be with Green Flag with my old Direct Line cover when I had the Cinq SX but they gave it me telling me all was included and then when I did use them, they charged me £2.50 per mile over 12 miles!!! Luckily his counter was dodgy. We covered 19 miles and his truck read 14 so he dint charge me owt.
