Yes it is related to the Strada as it was the same floor pan that was used to save costs, now every manufacturer does this just look at VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat with the A4, A3, TT, Golf, Ibiza, Octavia etc etc all on the same floor pan and engines etc etc.
And well, the original Coupe did have a detuned integrale engine in it, as I think you'll find it is the same Lampredi designed 16V unit, hence way Guy Crooft's book is entitled "FIAT/Lancia Twin Cams!"
Whereas the Fiat group own Alfa, Ferrari, but they run themselves, Lancia has been part of Fiat since late 60's and as such its is know as FIAT/Lancia as the packaging of your spare parts will tell you.
I changed the rocker cover gasket the other day on my Cinq & do you know whats stamped on the inside of it, a Lancia badge under the FIAT name, yes the little badge does not bare the name Lancia, but its unmistakably the Lancia badge which I've now seen on almost all Fiat parts now.
& it was decided beforehand that the whole FIAT group could enter as we're all Itlain car lovers at heart. So no more questions about DNA, just vote for me JAY TRIPPLE THREE!
