You can modify the pub pressure barrels to allow you to syphon in your home brew from the mash bin, however the process is dicey and can lead to serious injury if it goes wrong! Does rock having a proper home setup with the gas, celler boys, line chiller and pumps though

Can i get fired from being off sick from work for nearly 2 weeks? Ive got doctors notes signing me off but ive read on the internet that i can, plus my past record for illness isnt the best either, already had 1 warning for being off too much even though it was all genuine. Doctor keeps signing me off this time to wait for blood test results and stuff

Not with a genuine doctors sign thing.. if they do then you have grounds for unfair dismissal and any court would be on your side with your evidence..

Thats what i thought but the more i look online the more i see that i can be dismissed if they dont think that im "up to the job" anymore and theres nothing thats less stressful or anything there they can offer me instead but i guess ill just have to wait and see, wouldnt be the worst thing lol... Looking for a new job anyway

sorry but you are very wrong.
having a doctors note does not protect you from dismissal
however there are legal matters and company policy to follow
unless you have less than 12 months service

Ive worked there for nearly 2 1/2 years now
It was just a verbal warning but they said that i need to sort it out or it could turn into written warnings and no because we changed a few policys in the company and i havnt got a copy of the new one so not sure if thats changed or not.

okay so the good news is you have some protection under employment law
you need to get a hold of that company policy
however you wont be dismissed at this stage on a verbal warning

Well thats good then. Yeah ill see if i can get hold of one when i go back to work and if the worst comes to worst and i was? Then would it be classed as unfair dismissal?

dismissed under a verbal? possibly
however you are getting ahead of yourself
get the handbook and see their policy
i would expect at least verbal, written, final written warning
some companies run with stages
it really depends

cheers will look in my local motor factors and see what they've got.

Next question my wheels im refurbing had corrosion all on the back and ive rubbed it back to bare metal, now ive just put three coats of etch primer on,Do i need to give it a quick sand before i do the whole wheel in normal primer ?

its always best to flat the surface after each different coat of paint. gives a better surface to paint on for each paint and makes the next rub down easier as well as reducing the risk of the previous paint coming through in places. shouldnt need to go any finer than 800-1000 grit wet n dry until the top coat paint/clear coat.

30minute job.. thats if it isnt rusted to ****...

do the same as if you were changing the springs, remove the hub from the strut, then unbolt the top cap... not forgetting to compress the spring of course.....

If its rusted up.. good luck.. (y)

so a numpty with a haynes manual could do it?

garage said something about re gassing it
