Driving down the m62 i noticed ontop on a bridge that there was three tripods with small black cameras on top i didnt see these untill i was 200m away from the bridge, and tucked round the corner was a police car. Just wondering are these speed cameras or the cameras which check your license plates?

Thanks phil

aswell does anyone know if theres any redlight cameras in HULL as my mates stressing out about it , he went through just as it truned to red to avoid and annoying ford focus sitting on his bumper, going into him. Thanks
Phil

Heading back from hull bout 22 miles away from hull. I was doing 70 on sat nav and 74ish on speedo to get passed a lorry. hope it wasnt a speed camera:(

Im not off in this direction. Happy days

i have seen some at j 26 chain bar roundabout tonight on way home from work

I am going in this direction though, not so happy days, will keep an eye out

there is a set of red light cameras on the junction near the hospital... and also near where you turn off for the deep.

there are also speed cameras on the main road near the hospital.. as well as where the m62 runs into hull and goes by the side of all the different shopping centres etc near the side of the river.

the black cameras you see are just anpr systems or traffic control systems (like the blue ones used on the way to york).

i wouldnt worry to much about doing 74mph through them (y)

ive been close to getting caught a few times by the yellow boxes on the way to work to york from hull ha

. If it was a speed camera, it needs to be painted bright yellow.

not anymore they don't, go have a look at the ones painted green in the bushes on the A57 through Glossop. Right through there are markings on the kerbs so that you can't look out for markings on the road to know where the cameras are.

According to the South Yorkshire Saftey Camera Partnership there are only two speed cameras on the A57. The one on the Parkway and one further up in Crosspool.

From what I can find on the net *maybe worng* Green speed cameras are not by the Home Office and therefore unenforcable. Also since there not listed on the SYSCP I would also say they were not Home Office enforcable.
