jaffa cakes are cakes....it's intrinsic in their makeup....even in their NAME!!!

A cake is soft at the start and goes hard if stale.

A biscuit on the other hand should be hard initially but goes soft when soggy.

You are so totally wrong. Sponge, filling and chocolate = cake. It doesn't even have a biscuit constituent.

they are kept in the sweets and BISCUIT aisle , they are always kept with the other types of biscuits

i personally think they are biscuits, they arent even in the same league as cakes
