Is that a straight road?

near enough its at a very slight incline of a bridge

(i have been told what happened but since there is a police investigation under way and the lass is in a bad way it seems a little silly and pointless to comment)

just hope everyone makes a good recovery

Agreed but GP v Yaris doesnt look a great result for the 5* GP, hope she had her seatbelt on and that she makes a full and speedy recovery Andy.

taking a 2nd glance.... at what i can see.... it doesnt look to bad... although i wouldnt have liked to have been in either of them

As with everybody else, I also hope she makes a full and speedy recovery, but I'd be interested to know why she seems to have been on the wrong side of the road.

Her injuries may not have been due to a failure of the Punto, as if she'd struck
the Yaris slightly off-centre her car could well have been 270 degrees and the
injuries could well be inetrnal which would be because of the rapid change of direction.

Well, here's another thread I've finished off.

Always bad news, worse when you know one of the victims. Hope she gets better.

but why do the police need to know the wareabouts of the Punto before the crash? has nothing to do with it surely

Not too difficult to work out. They'll have a time fix on her at take-away to measure against time fix of crash - then given her route they'll calc. her speed. Other elements: bad weather, floating dirt/oil on road surface(?), take-away getting colder, maybe slipped-off seat(?), maybe snacking(?), tel. call(?).
