i think the seek and transfers times on a 1.6tb optical medium are going to be shocking

equitment costs
film costs
loyalty costs
selling costs
shipping costs
and profit
im aware of this daz. another example are blank dvd rws etc how much you think they cost to make and tet they getsold for?
my point is this new medium will cost what was it 5 cents? for the manufacture to make they will still sell it for a lot more

Because its a business, they need to make a profit, or whats the point.
Fair to say they cost nothing to make but they have to make for the machinery, and materials, and peoples wages lol everthing costs!

I suppose the latest ultrium tapes can do 1500mb/min+ which aint too shabby. Had one a month ago that ate a tape and completly trashed the drive lol.
