weekend away

i have chance to go anywhere for relaxing chilled out weekend with a FRIEND!
we will be leaving in his car on friday night after work 5.30 ish
so far we have come up with
Blackpool ( road works on way long journey)
lake district ( whats there?)
skeggy ( wont be relaxing)
peak district???

any ideas will be greatful

The Lakes is ace (for mountain biking ) was there on Saturday and didnt even rain

Lynmouth way, Devon!

Hire a nice cottage! My auntie goes there all the time, I can get details. Four poster beds I think, plus wood-burning fires, and a lot of nice, quiet, idlylic walks - plus local pubs for food and so much more

And no phone coverage either..........

Another place I used to go with Jules was Lulworth Cove, Dorset way! Again, a few nice B&Bs round there, local pubs and restaurants.

What exactly do you want from this break? Hmmm

Go to blackpool but stay just outside on the coast cus then it'll be relaxing too

I cant think of the place we used to go to that was really nice just outside blackpool
