I got a parking ticket, even though I was "paying and displaying".

Paid for 12 hours and still had 5 hours to go on my ticket when I got back to my car. Reason "Unable to see time on ticket". What a load of s**t! Honestly can't say WHY I got this ticket?!

I have until Monday then the fine goes up to £50

Have got my ticket and everything. Have written to them a few times and nothing!

I just wouldnt pay it if it was completly unjustified

go to court with it,if the parking ticket was issued while you had a valid pay & display then you have a strong position.are your wardens private or council run?

I got a parking ticket in my local multi-storey the other day, even though I am a season ticket holder [ok, the ticket was still in the drivers door-bin, but hey!].

Went down to the local town hall, picture of season ticket on my camera phone [coz it was now being displayed properly ] and the penalty notice - I got let off

I think it's private. It's BRITANNIA PARKING. They have loads of car parks round the city

It was in Birmingham City centre, not far from the Bullring. I thought someone was having a laugh at first but it's a proper ticket! :-(

That's them but can't find anything on there about appealing a ticket.

Nor can I. I guess just ring the phone number on the site - see what they have to say!

Charlotte, they can't give you a ticket for "ticket not showing time" when you can produce a ticket showing time. If they had written "ticket not displayed" it would be a different matter, surely?

I once had a parking fine because I had displayed the ticket upside down in my car (as in all the info facing down so you couldn't see it), sent it off as an appeal and it was waived with a note telling me to display it properly next time. I now have a permit .

It's the weirdest thing. My ticket was displayed UPWARDS, showing the time and date and everything. All they had to do was look, it was clearly there. Weird don't u think? Like a cruel joke

Sorry Charlotte, assumed for some reason it wasn't, well 1) they have issued a parking ticket illegally then 2) you have a ticket which counters the "no time on ticket" idea.
