Im on NTL and ended up with...

Downstream 1252 Kbps (156.5 KB/sec) 1352 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 244 Kbps (30.5 KB/sec) 263 Kbps (inc. overheads)

Not that i know what any of that means

Really bad, oh yes, looks like 10x as slow as what you should be expecting and paying for.

Are there any neighbours nearby who are on the same package? Are they getting the same results.

strange, ADSL guide tells me it's all so slow, and sometimes surfing is, but if I download something - say Winzip from tucows it comes down at 90K/sec or thereabouts. Downloaded 900K in 11 sec.

Ah, interesting - what about your cache size on Explorer? Maybe that is holding back the speed. I know this site used to run painfully slow for me.

Oh, I was going to say turn it down - my cache on this machine is now only 20MB - it was advice I got from Kiwihost when this NEW forum came on line, and made a hell of a difference.
