Yes it is but I think the excess is £50 which isn't worth it lol, plus I would lose it for 2 weeks or so whilst they repair it at a guess :(

I am only asking in the first place as my dept. is getting a wireless hotspot next week onwards and hence didn't want it to look tatty when I take it with me.
so u worried about resprayin it an invalidating the warrenty?

surely if u spray it black or grey and do a good enough job they wont notice it! or is that bein a bit too cheeky... after all u have smuggled in a more powerfull kettle!

see if you can't order the part directly from the manufacturer... swap them over if it's the top or something... it'll affect your warrenty, but you really have to ask yourself the question: are you really going to tell them you have changed part of it??? They'll never know, unless you make a complete hash of it.

Or take it back and demand your money back, because you thought the quality of the materials/workmanship was better and then buy a new one.

EDIT - I will also refer to the illegal kettle as part of my argument of deception/fraud

It's just really that if I respray it, to do it properly, it will need to be stripped completely which would invalidate my warrenty and also probably never work again knowing my luck! lol

I really wouldnt fancy spraying a new laptop anyway. As once you've sprayed it the toip laer is going to wear off gradually and it'll look worse than just the bit that you've damaged

Looks like I will buying a replacement P4-M badge from ebay then unless any other suggestions?! lol

Cheers guys :)
