i have being given 2 example ones and there too good just to copy and personal to them
the net just annoys me in this course
the previous thread is too long to read and lacks a poll

so can i see what you guys wrote?
just remove the personal stuff

Perhaps tell people what you want it for...
A job application? If so, what job - i.e. you want to emphasise the appropriate qualities needed for the job.

oh its for uni
ucas n that

what you want it for
job later more money

engineering based
civil / structural / mechanical maybe even automotive engineering

at mo i'm doing a btec Nat dip in mechanical Eng

i wrote one for going to uni, and also one to go into 6th form. both were different. depending on what it is for, you need to target it diffierently.

i like cheese.

Ignore all them i'll be helpful for you :D:

 • right start by saying what you are currently studying now and what you like about it i.e one particular module or the hands on experience something like that
 • what you want to study when you get to university (depends on if you have applied for more than one university)
 • Say why you want to go to university and do that course in particular (dont say because I want a better job, say to future my career prospects and to achieve my life goals of becoming a qualified engineer???. some crap like that).
 • Say what skills you have that will get you through university (life skills such as time keeping, ability to work on own and within a team)
 • Say what personal skills you have (ability to listen to others)
 • State your past achievements (duke of edinbrugh, school awards etc)
 • State your hobbies and what you do outside of college
It would help if you can include what you have written then we can all evaluate it for you.

cheers emma

Well unfortunately I've had a little practice having done it twice, however not intending to do it a 3rd time.

Post what you've done when you write this one and we'll all tell you if its any good or not (y)

You just have to tell them your really nice and reliable will turn up all the time, you work well in groups and on your own and that you really look forward to the course/s you are applying for because you know its going to improve your life in the long run and thats what motivates you. Basically its just aload of crap.

how far i have got

Engineering has always fascinated me due to its complexity and how things react.
How things work has always interested me. Just how one part interacts with another to form a function.

I am currently studying a BTEC national diploma in mechanical engineering My most interesting subject so far has being project in which I had to create a device capable of lifting a car in this I learnt a few things about myself.
I being working for a fabrication company has helped broaden my horizons. How a small amount of metal can do a large amount . And some rather unorthodox ways of lifting beams into the air.

The main reason I want to go to uni is to improve my life in the future and broaden my horizons in life .
My main skills I would say is being able to work independently and within a team.

The main thing that I believe I have archived in life is passing my driving test first time with only 7 minors this has helped quite a bit with life.

One of my main interests is my car mainly because it is a Fiat and so far has not let me down.
