i have been poorly all day and just been in bed - how crap is that - wathched crap telly too

i have a cough all day yesterday and then last night i woke at 2am with a sore throat, hot and cold sweats, head ache, that horrinble skin feeling where you cant touch anything - i have been told it could be heatstroke coz i was badlt burnt on sunday

i phoned my boss at 2am to say i was ill and wouldnt be in work - ooops

It could be heatstroke although you would have expected it to show before now. Could also be an infection of some kind. In the meantime try some paracetmaol to reduce fever and plenty of drinks to keep you hydrated. If the throat is just dry and tickly then some honey, lemon and glycerin liquid or basic cough pastilles auch as throaties are helpful. If it is very sore, swollen or irritated there is something new on the market called Strefen, which is a local anti-inflammatory (much like aspirin only better) which warms your throat and reduces redness and swelling. The menthol in aqueous cream I told you about can also help with itchy/ crawly skin and is cheap to get. Remember that if it is an infection they are generally caused by a virus and you can do little other than rest and let your body recover while treating the symptoms. If you feel absolutely rotten or it goes on for more than 2-3 days without change then get to see the Doc.

thnaks helz been drinking loads today - i didnt think it was heatstroke coz i got it same day being in the sun lsat time i got it

Just to remind everyone not to drink too much plain water when you are feeling ill - juice or flat cola is better as it also helps replace sugar and in some cases salts lost when sweating etc. (sorry Sammi I mean glowing not sweating)

but if you had rested yesterday you might have been ok today, i know you is inbed now, but i missed this earlier, and just wanted to deny any responsability, also i never told either, everybody must have been watching the rochdale towncenter web cam
