Re: the £90 bravo 1.8 hlx

no it doesnt :p but the hardest things are the brakes.

il do a full list for ya :p

fail-
excessivly corroded front brake disks.
excessivly corroded near the seat belt (its tiny and it will cover with just underseal tbh :p, and its not really near the seat belt imo i measured it and its like 14")
abs light

advisorys-
slightly corroded brake pipe.

dont risk peoples lives with dodgy repairs in safety areas
if it needs welded then get it welded

Re: the £90 bravo 1.8 hlx

ermmm yeah, i know of about 40 a day in southend, where the testers dont even see the car, so over the uk? probably thousands tbh rather than just hundreds.

and i work at an mot place, even if the car has just passed, it can still be dangerous, a brake pipe above a fuel tank could still be rotten and explode like one did the other week after test.

Then in the interests of other peoples safety didn't you think of reporting this to VOSA or is it ok aslong as you save a few quid?

Re: the £90 bravo 1.8 hlx

beau you are sounding such a tw*t, you really beleive all the cr)p you just spouted? Name and shame or its a complete pack of lies TBH.

Fix that car properly if I were you, or sell it on with advisories....(n)

Re: the £90 bravo 1.8 hlx

no of course not...why should you care if other people are driving around in potentially lethal cars:rolleyes:

i dont make the rules.... not being funny here but if a car say passes the mot but gets a advisory on some rust somewhere, 6 months later it could be a 'death trap' but its still on the road, many cars on the road are like this... if i made the rules i wouldnt have any advisories personally.... other countrys are much more strict that we are.

and if you were to see the rust on my car im sure you would drive it, its tiny, its a damn sight safer than my fiat uno thats for sure.

what the eye don't see the eye don't know

Until someone has an accident and their seatbelt doesn't work as rust has eaten the mounting.......

Not something I'd want on my conscience tbh.

Just hope people do their research and come across beau's enlightening views on his cars before they buy!.

A bit shocked and ashamed Dave with this comment.

As a mod or someone with the power of yourself in my opinion agreeing with a potential dodgy repair, well i cant see or wouldnt expect any other of the mods to agree with this sort of an act.

Perhaps personal view differs, but in terms of in general and the forum i wouldnt expect a mod to post that

Hope personally it was in gest however
