After all that you better finish of with some hand cream moisturiser or your skin turns into a dry,cracked, bleeding mess.

I assume that you'll wear gloves next time?
gloves are for wimps, plus you miss the sweet smell of used engine oil that lasts for days.
soak your hands in warm water, then use a bit of shaving gel, rub it in and leave for 2 mins, then use the lid from the gel and scrape your skin, i find it works with grease and oil and stuff...

OK, here's a more manly option then. Get a scotchbrite pad and some nice industrial solvent like MEK or maybe MIBK
