bit bored and wanted to get peoples views after watching some old gumball episodes over the weekend.

I was trying to think of the perfect car to use if i were to participate in the rally.

I came up with the Bentley continental GT as you get looks comfort and a fair amount of speed:p

(fiat suggestions are allowed but frowned upon.)

This one is easy to answer. A 1tonne ute.

Someone used a one-tonner in the only Aussie edition of the Gumball wayback, and it beat the likes of a couple of Ferrari F40's, and other assorted exotica of the time.

Its secret was a 253ci V8, RWD (both stock) and a 1000L fuel tank (not stock)

So my answer would be one of these with the above mod

YOU came up with that? Like f*ck you did. Its been done several times, to great publicity. Boring.

The car i would do gumball in is the new Nissan GTR, 180mph cruising FTW, whilst still being able to have a conversation! just as boring as the CGT, but it appeals to me more, maybe because of the much better handling and safety.

otherwise it would be a souped up BMW 335D M-sport (y)

bludvl_x19,

I've thought this for ages. Why doesn't someone take a ute. They'd be perfect for it.

Are the Maloo's one tonner these days? Or is that just an SS? My grasp of contemporary ute-ness is not what it once was :)

Actually, since Holden (GM AUS) killed off the real one tonner about 5 years ago, none of the utes in the range have a 1tonne payload. The Maloo and SS both have around about a 600kg one, but the Maloo does have a 6.2L V8, so who gives a rats? :D

My choice would still be the Maloo

best vehicle for gumball is a CVR(T) Scorpion Tank upgraded to the latest S 2000 Peacekeeper standard. then you can destroy all the tossers before they wage war on public roads and still maintain a 50mph average speed.
