Hi,

im planning on getting my rear 3 windows tinted early next week by cappucino tints: http://www.cappuccinotints.co.uk/

ive been quoted £130 for 20% tints... decent price? some ive rung have wanted £200 +... therefore is it get what you pay for? someone was reccomending them on another forum i use but they havent got back to me.

so has anyone used them?

and also what are people's views on tinted windows? im just after the look more than anything, but dont like fully blacked out windows...

thanks in advance (y)

On my 2b i paid £150 for all windows to be tinted. 80% tint on the back and 30% tint on the front. On my Tjet i paid £180 for all windows done with 80% on the back and supposedly 50% on the front. I think tints can really finish a car off personally.

i'm not going to bother with my front windows to be honest... cant be bothered with any hassle from the bobby's, and i think the car already has a 30% tint on the windows from factory

i found a place where i could get them all done however i wanted for £150

On the sei i paid over 200 for mine, but this company had a contract to tint every jaguar and land rover sold at dealerships in the north.

They are based in manchester (bredbury i think) and have a professional factory set up for the job, not just a backstreet lockup for example

Came highly recommnded and was happy to shell out a bit extra with a reputation like that and the job was first class from start to finish.

sunguard solar control they are called from memory, google it

With windows its a big cock up if it goes/looks wrong

And whatever you decide, don't forget to inform your insurance - even if it's just a courtesy call.
One day, some chav might be telling the police "he just didn't see me" in a vain attempt to lie his way out of yet another motoring conviction.
These days, insurance companies need just one excuse to get out of paying.
