Who's got it and who hasn't?

Seems I'm one of the only youngsters with it at college:eek:

I'm looking at what package you have, and cost.

I'm with RAC, and got it through Tesco with my vouchers, and cost £40 for the year, and have the £160 a year, full works, recovery to anywhere in the UK from any place(y)

Just seems shocking how many youngsters at my college seem to forget the basic's like regular servicing of the car, and brakedown assistance:p

Learnt the hard way about how useful breakdown cover would have been when I had the Fabia  Had it ever since :ROFLMAO:

Chris

I Don't bother, always owned new / nearly new cars. Never broken down in my nearly 5yrs and 110,000miles+ driving history!. Only time I came close was in the Fabia vRS when the brake servo decided to pack up making the brakes clamp on and over heat. Left it for 30mins and it was ok to drive again (for another 25-30mins) until I managed to get it to the useless dealers!.

AA at mo but they suck so we joining rac now since one of there guys fixed the van good n proper :)
used to be with green flag when i was 11 but arnt now

AA failed to recognise a m instead of a n on the computer
Said the van was screwed when only one belt snapped. the second guy was better towed back to base was cool
talked ****e over phone
over all I'm anti AA now

I'm in a fleet with family and part of work

I used to be with the AA but I left them because they tried to charge me silly money (£150 per year). I'm thinking of getting breakdown cover with someone else, greenflag, europ assistance or someone like that.

This is another thing people don't realise. What do you do if your car is smashed up and undrivable then?

if you have fully comp this is claimed back via the insurance

was in an accident with a mate he was diving and had RAC cover...

anyhow RAC recovered us and his van they then claimed the cost back from the 3rd party so he didn't loose his no call out bonus

I know it can be claimed back if fully comp, but the money still needs to be there in the first place:(

So RAC charged did they? Even though you were a member:confused:

no my mate had the Accident recovery as part of his membership so if say he'd hit a tree he'd have lost his no call out discount and that would have been it

Currently got two lots. Moved from AA to RAC in December using clubcard vouchers (so got it free basically as they're money which has been spent once already). Then got a year's free AA cover with the Panda which can't be delayed to the end of my RAC cover - so covered twice!
