every now and then, i like to go on a wild goose chase through ebay, and think to myself "what if my budget was £100......and i only went as far as 25 miles......what could i get?"

would i take the:

perfect load lugger......but boring....

maybe some 80's hot hatch action:

but i'd always hanker for a 16v mk2 big bumper in oak green...

but then i saw:

and now i am very conflicted.....i love these old benzs....when the 3 pointed star actually meant proper old school over engineering.....

anyway....anyone else ever try it? any gems close to home?

true...but occasionally you do get away with it...uno for a penny springs to mind...though that was 60 odd miles away...besides if i turned up with a ton and half of uber german metal, the mrs would be warming up the extra large frying pan.......

kinda cheating when cars will be valued over £100 by auction end though or reserve not met etc

but a good idea non the less, reminds me of the £400 200sx my mate picked up :D

true, but if you play wholly by the rules, then all you get is 1.1 fiesta mk4's (at least in carlisle anyway lol)

i bidded on that merc, i liked it that much. be interesting to see what it makes....

maybe scrap it worth more here or something then? cos we get £180 for old micras, and £200 for something like a cavalier scrap and they collect them, mate got £200 scrap other day for a nova, cos price keeps going up and up.

looking on ebay some cars do sell cheaper than £100, i think if i see any close, il bid and meet a scrap person there and buy the car then scrap it
