:yeahthat: and they rip you off and rob you without providing a service and STILL charge you for the balance of the contract even though you never been able to connect with them

...and their tec support is in india and just consists of some poor sap that only reads from scripts in very bad pigeon english that always ends with the same result "we'll have to order a line test, please phone back in 5 days!":mad:

Exactly!!! and also "we will need to escalate your problem to advanced technical support phone back after 72 hours it will be fixed by then."

if you can get cable then defo get cable (check your postcode on virgin media website), if you cant then go with BT.

mobile broadband is slow and crap, but it is convenient and good enough if you dont want to play games or watch vids on youtube or download anything like software or music. so basically its only good for browsing the web.

many ISPs that use BT lines are useless especially when there is a problem. BT still manage the lines no matter who you go with.

i went through hell with talktalk and toucan, i'd rather hang myself that go with either of them ever again.

The O2 one is basically brokered to you through O2 as a normal BT line broadband, I'm on a broker at home (utility warehouse club [parents decision, not mine]) and Virgin at Uni, can't get cable at home either.

Virgin deffo dont cover my area... what's annoying is I just cancelled my BT thing from the previous but it looks like I'm gonna have to go back to them. I just really don't want a phone line to get annoying calls on.
