Sorry to say that as of yesterday, i am out of the FFUK Rally 2004.

My VTEC engine just let go big time and i'm without a car now until i can sort out a banger to ride in, whilst i source a new engine and save save save.

I would like to point out that it was my fault the engine blew, i wouldn't want to tarnish the name of a greatly reliable car, and indeed manufacturer.

If anyone knows of a small-engined car up for sale around £100-150, could they let me know, i need to get to and from work without using the dreaded public transport!

Ive just realised, yure really unlucky with cars and reliability, first yure Cinq was always dead, and now this is..

How did yu manage to kill it?

So how did the engine blow? Was it at idling revs?

I wasn't thrashing it or anything, just a usual motorway trip, fast lane, no more than 100mph.

Major hole in radiator, possibly caused by a stone perhaps, loss of coolant, which lead to gasket blowing, and piston melting.

I class it as my fault, as i should have kept my eye on the temp guage. When it got too hot, i pulled over, but i feel i could have stopped alot earlier when it pushed over half way up the guage.

Shame really, ends the life of a very reliable engine.
