Trying to rush a side light change on my car and as a result what could have been a 5 minute job took about an hour..

Tale of stupidity to follow:

Lost a sidelight bulb, decided to change it during my break, easy job last time. Took the offending bulb out, replaced it, tested the polarity before inserted (Led). Just have to do it up. It just won't, literally 20 minutes of wiggling, wedging nothing it just won't go. Last time I did them I did it by disconnecting the lamp loom and access from the top. But given the problems I was having I thought I'll use the hand book method, so wheel all the way to the left and out with arch liner to find...access is best from the top by a significant margin.

Have a bit of a moment at this point as frustration sets in I decide to do the other side. Whip the bulb holder out...not the bulb that stays in the unit :bang: Small mercies it's in the back of unit behind the reflector..so I can refit the holder with new bulb and it won't interfere. Decide I'm going home with one side light just resting in the unit as I've had enough..

Get home have lunch then realise as I've posted about before you can only fit the bulbs the correct way...and in the all of that I only ever tried the wrong way. Shine a light behind the unit see the shape of the hole (4 different sized tabs secure unit) and 30 seconds later done.

Justin Bieber..

Why has he released 2 passable and very catchy songs?

Not only that but he hid one of them...it's down on my phone as a collaboration between Skrillex and Diplo.

I was quite happy hating everything he ever did..

Next thing, you'll be developing breasts and listening to One Direction, lol! :p

Nope, I just associate bieber with the female listener, along with one direction, lol! :p Christ, neither of those will ever disgrace my ipod, lol!

As I use Google music it's a bit Russian roulette. Yes I could only download music I definitely like but you end up listening to the same stuff again and again. So I use the "radio" stations you pick a genre for example "edm workout tunes" and it downloads a bunch of songs over which you have no control. In some ways it's good because you hear songs in genres you like but may have missed, but you also end up with stuff you wouldn't normally want to listen to occasionally! At least it deletes some and adds some every few days so it's on a rotation.

You can use it like itunes but rather defeats the point, you can just thumbs down it and it'll be deleted at the next rotation. Gotta be careful with the top 50 playlist though it may contain traces of little mix..

Lol! My time with my ex last year reminded me of just how much I hate modern, mainstream music.

I find a good way to discover different music is to rummage through charity shops, and buy any CDs that look potentially interesting.

I used to but every single cubby in my car is filled with CDs and I have fully featured blue tooth streaming so I thought I'd go digital. I pay 10 quid a month and for that I get constantly refreshed content. Also if you want old stuff it's there, had a nu metal week last week last week so as a result had a lot of Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit e.t.c. Week before that was the collected works of Hadouken and the Hotel California by the Eagles.

I like it other than when you download some more mainstream stuff for when giving lifts to people etc and it hits you with utter crap.

For in my car, I just put a load of stuff I like onto a memory stick, and plug it in the USB socket in the glovebox. The 2 people who sometimes come in the car with me the most like my music anyway, lol!

I used to listen to the same stuff but in an effort to get variety I ended up with a 6 CD changer filled with mp3 cds..and still got bored after a week.

At least this way it's like radio except I can decide I want to have a rave day...or an 80s power ballads day and it'll get me a selection and there's no adverts or "Grimmy". You could stop it refreshing by specifying what you want but not knowing what's next is half the fun, it's awesome when It picks up a song that you used to love but had forgotten about so you end up surfing that bands back catalogue or rediscovering albums.

As long as it isn't Bieber.

Julio Iglesias has been appearing a bit recently on my lists.. Something about his songs that makes me think of 80's Spain driving through the mountains in a Seat Ibiza MK1 Porsche engineered going to a nice villa.....

Julio Iglesias and Spanish Holidays!
We went to Menorca (I think) in 1994 and everywhere you went they were playing his latest album "Crazy" which featured cover versions. I don't know if that's unusual for the old boy because it's the only one of his albums I ever heard.
Anyway, I had just bought a new camcorder, and the kids were little so I took loads of footage. When I came back I bought the album and spent hours editing and mixing in "Julio" tracks from the album because it became so integral to the holiday I just had to do it.
Even now, if I hear the duet he did with Art Garfunkel " Let it Be Me" i am whisked back to that holiday and the lovely hot sunshine.
In fact I think I will play it now to banish the misery of today's weather :)
Sorry this is the "grumpy" post so probably wrong place!
