What's made you grumpy today?

I do try giving her encouragement, and reassure her that she'll find someone far better. I'm even trying to give her advice on how to get over him! I think the best word to describe her is desperate!

Probably. Any attention is good attention. I'd say you're doing a good thing just by listening. Just be a good guy, nothing rebound, and don't get drawn in either. :p

Wife this morning finished a night shift and drove into the back of a black Audi A4 driving home form work.... AGAIN !!!

That twice now she's driven into the back of a black Audi A4 on her way home from work.

This time though the guy actually hit a car in front first stopped suddenly and gave her no time to react. Total extent of the damage appears to be a bent number plate which was surprisingly metal, scratches and the trim needed to be pushed back in. Fortunately is faired a lot better than the punto which was a write off.

Beware black Audi A4 drivers

2 hours into a 1 hour waiting appointment at Citroen...perhaps there preparing a really good excuse as to why all 4 wheels on a car that has done 5600 miles and is 12 months old have white rust..

Edit and the verdict is..4 new wheels wooo!

Dropping in on the people I used to work with doing forestry work. Not seen them in about 4 years, which is my fault somewhat but sounds like they're having a rough time. They do horse logging so use gypsy cobbs not tractors to minimise damage done in extraction and had 4 horses they did that with. Went up today and one of them had died 3 years ago and the main working horse had been put down last Tuesday. In case you're wondering nothing work related, he broke his leg in the stables at night. Understandably they are gutted and debating continuing doing it anymore.

Happier times..and no that isn't me.

maybe they should try for donations

I don't think it's a money thing they do have horses they are "bringing on" who can pick up the work. More despite their regular refrain of "these are not pets they are working animals" they were very attached to him having had him since he was less than a year old and he was a big character so they are very much in mourning.

Was compiling a list of pet peeves while driving home tonight. I think this is a fair observation. :)

  1. People with those damned "projector" headlights. It's like staring into a thousand suns.
  2. The "obviously the outside lane is faster so I'll stay out regardless of the ZERO cars in the other lane" kinda driver.
  3. The BMW driver who slips across two lanes to grab a sliproad cutting up two cars because the queue is too long.
  4. "Help, crashed my car through a Halfords and it came out covered in ugly paint with a bean can exhaust. Now watch as I inevitably wrap it around a lamppost."
  5. The driver who ignores keep clear signs and subsequently blocks off the whole T-junction.
  6. The driver who somehow manages 40mph through a 60, but continue to do 40 through a 30 anyway.
  7. The car who's mad you left work 5 minutes he did and sits up your arse the whole way.

As with ANY headlight they're only an issue if not set correctly. They're actually better than standard reflector units if both are set correctly and compared side by side.

Tell that to the top spec brand new Range Rover drivers. They're completely f***ed straight out the factory in that case  :bang:

Once got me so bad the other night I literally had to pull over for 30 seconds for my eyes to re-adjust.

People putting bulbs in upside down is baaad too.

I don't get why this is even possible, with the H11 projectors on the Mazda, you can only fit the bulb one way , there is no rubber boot or flimsy cage to balls up either, it is secured by a quarter turn into the unit, it only goes far enough to fit correctly, the connection isn't long enough to work upside down and changing bulbs takes 30 seconds.

Then you see the mess fitted to other cars and it's sheer laziness on the behalf of the designer.
