I tried to start the red one just now and it sounds like it really wants to start but then I tried it again and the dials flickered a bit and the dash board lights went out. When I put the key back to the ignition bit (without turning off the engine) they came back on again

That's a dead battery. All its power is being used to turn the engine, leaving nothing left to fire the ignition. Nick Mum's battery just to test.

Our friendly local mechanic has jump started the red punto and it now starts perfectly :) my sei has had it's alternator belt replaced as well because the old one was covered in small cracks.
The oil leak on mum's car is the head gasket starting to go

It's tough; but it's so worth it. I could never have done that thing where people break up over distance. She's 350 miles away and 6 hours, so I can't even visit easily!

But yeah, you're right!

I can only concur on this, having met a member on here in 2006 whilst I was at university, she lived 150 miles away at the time, although I still managed to get down to see her every other weekend (main constraint was work schedules). I moved in 18 months later.

We've been married 8 years now. :D

Persevere, it's well worth it.

Ironically, I now work 200+ miles away and am only home at the weekend!

Anyway on topic - not much other than children.

Which shows the battery was down on power. Why? Alternator not charging, something draining it? Or a dying battery? It is starting ok now it has had a boost, but likely to drop again soon if the cause has not been addressed.

It has been sitting on the drive since january because of an accident would that have done it?
I have been starting the engine once a week but it hasn't been driven

Spider crawled over my face in bed...i bolted up wards, went down chest and arm....now cant find the bugger.

Help

I've had several offers of over £200 to end the listing for my Strada Abarth wheels early and the listing had more than a dozen watchers. I kept the listing up so it was fair to all and they sold for £139.99

Integrity does come at a price.

Just went into a car park which had a costa in it to get a coffee and find out it's an ANPR car park with a minimum stay of 1-2 hours at £1.30. Only had £2 on me so got 4 hours just for a 15 min coffee...

Bad do ? on a plus note take your time to drink it
