My new camera records in AVI format so I have to convert everything to MP4 before I can use any windows publishing software. :bang:

Not a big deal but it does take 45 minutes to make a three minute clip.

Just as well I have a crap enough job to be able to do it eh?

Snap - what you using to convert it? as free ones i've used dont transfer the quality that well and as a result it makes them pixelated

I just run it through MS Movie Maker and then use that version for editing. 1080P means I'm looking at a thirty four minute upload onto YouTube for the same three minute clip. :bang:

I think 1080P is over rated.

Bus drivers, nearly had my freshly returned car written off.

Travelling down the road round a 90 degree corner on which I've seen 2 buses pass on nevermind a bus and a car. I enter the corner bus enters the corner, the front of the bus just misses me on my side of the centre line. I realised what was coming next and stopped so hard the ABS triggered at 25mph and I stalled. The back of the bus then followed the front on a tightening line which if I had been moving still would have taken it straight over my bonnet. As it was I ended up sitting there watching the side get closer and closer until it passed missing my front corner and door mirror by less than an inch.

Was a close one had the whole, oh **** I don't like what's about to happen and I have no choice to participate feeling...last time I felt like that I'd just gone over the bars of a bike.

Upload was 480P for quality sake...

He tried over 5 other companies for a quote but as soon as the subject of his accident history came up the other companies all fell into line. None of them would give him the 65% NCD he had prior to this incident.

Trying to fill out a mini bus insurance form but I don't know what to put about my recent bump on the roads... :-/
Date, circumstances, costs (mine and 3rd parties), outcome and was the NCD effected...

Its not falling into line, its giving him what he has or hasn't got. If the other company have incorrectly removed it then another company isn't just going to give it back. If he'd said that said incident hadn't affected his NCD then the other companies would have honored what ever he'd left the previous company with.

A new company couldn't reinstate a bonus removed by another insurance company. If he had fought his current company to get it back then they could have used it once reinstated, if he doesn't do that then a new insurer isn't going to create NCD out of nowhere.

Generally speaking though, if you decided to change insurers the new company will honour the NCD you had with the previous company but the other firms all said that they'd do the same thing.

Maybe we should be blaming dodgy lawyers and their clients.

Correct, you've answered it yourself, your son had none as his previous insurer (the one he was with at the time) reduced it to 0. Hence why everyone else would only give 0 also.

well today the focus has decided to rebel about being sold. someone has drove into the wing mirror despite it being tucked in and its sprug a leak and let water in all over the passenger seat. roll on next week when its finally gone and i dont have to spend any more money on it

Ha ha, no chance bending this iphone. It's second hand (freebie :-D) and quite old. About 1cm thick. Looked online for prices of the new one £699!!! Is it a phone or a computer?!

Nephews 1.4 grande is using oil, like A LOT of oil, 1st check was 1 litre top up,
then oil light Came on a month later, it took 2.9 litres to get to full mark :O
