Don't worry, I will be doing just that. Got my folks to come and pick me up otherwise I'd have to walk home. I also swapped out a few recently fitted parts for their broken equivalents (whilst ensuring it is still roadworthy with a few modifications).

Do the hose pipe in the interior/ carpets trick,
wouldn't believe how much weight it can add :D

As much as I like watching loads of aircraft flying in formation, coming in over heavily populated areas isn't a great idea.
Silly bitch in front of me just chucks out the anchor in the middle of the road so she can watch the pretty planes

Had some building work done recently, the builder used to give all his rubble to a mate, who stuffed it in scrap cars lol

Not so much grumpy, more angry!

I drove into the city centre yesterday evening as I had a quick message to do. Took the child with me. Driving along Bedford Street when lights turned to red so had to stop.

Cue the ****** from the pub across the road from me. He came over the road, stared into my car at my son, then thought it would be funny to try pushing my car. Not funny at all! I had my handbrake on already but also put footbrake on too and blasted the horn. Obviously I didn't want to yell expletives at him in front of my 4 year old. And gee thanks to all those who just walked on past and left me trying to get rid of him to myself.

When the lights changed I was off like a bat out of hell hoping that he would land on the road! No such luck though.

I don't often drive into town but it sure doesn't inspire me to return for a long long time!

Not my day today...

Decided to wash the car (it was more Road Grime Grey than Avalon, and the wheels brake dust brown, not silver).
Washed the car with no real problems. Thought it'd be a good time to have a quick look at the brakes. No reason other than to check wear and overall condition.

Front o/s comes off a charm. Quick look suggests that new pads will be needed in the reasonably near future (few weeks ain't gonna make much difference).
Then rear o/s. Nuts were a tad tight. Go to undo the fifth and final nut...won't budge. Tried a breaker bar, all I managed to to was shear the stud off the socket-holder (wasn't using a ratchet on it). Also mangled the chrome cap on it. Not happy.

So thought sod it for today, take it back to the tyre monkies that did my tyres tomorrow. Whip out the torque wrench and nip the nuts up. Final nut, wrench goes "click" to indicate it's done. Quick check of the others again and the 1/2" adapter shears off too.

Final task then, clean the glass to get rid of the water spots.

It started bloody raining!
Then just to top it all off...the hose trolley broke on me too.

Good job we had the emergency bowl to hand :D
She tell's us now, she's really good :)

Arthritis/Gout in my right foot, it flares up a couple of times a year and swings between uncomfortable and absolutely agonising, ruined my day off!
