Changing my front Disks and Pads on my car. 1 out of 4 Torx screws needed drilling out, cross threaded by an Evan's Halshaw trained Monkey. 3 out of 4 other bolts holding on the pad carrier seized solid probably due to over tightening.

Got there in the end after 2 hours of swearing and brute force :D.

Accidentally buying things on eBay I didn't mean to via the 'Make and offer' button, when you make a silly offer over a third less than the asking price I don't expect them to accepted and leave me having to buy something I didn't really need!

Seriously what are these people playing at!

I suppose I got an epic bargain anyway so not all doom and gloom

The firms that are running these courses tell their "clients" that the insurance companies are not supposed to be penalising customers in this way and that they should not be asking the question.
If insurance companies are so high-tech and switched on when it comes to risk -assessment, where was this finely honed business awareness when they fuelled the crash for cash scams by selling the accident victims' personal details to no win no fee lawyers themselves?
O'h yes, I remember now....they fuelled the scam market and then complained about the compensation payouts and so put up the premiums for everybody to pay for it. In some cases black-listing entire post codes.

It's not the possition of these 'firms' to be advising anyone of the like. But as I've always said you get good insurance companies, and crap ones, which tend to be at the budget end of the market, and guess where Admiral group sit ;)

The business sense behind them selling the details made perfect sense tbh. The details would be sold regardless, if they didn't then someone else would have, and in turn would have got the referal fee. At least with the insurance companies selling them, although creating a spiralling black hole, they still made the money from the referal fee, resulting in an ever so slightly lower overall loss.

Price is not always an indicator of service is it?

Recovery firms, Claims management firms, hospitals, body repair shops etc etc. The list goes on also.

Know when mum and sister got knocked down on a zebra only people we had spoken to was ambulance and police and guess what the no win no fee vultures were on the phone in under 12 hours of the event
 
MAJOR road into town completely snarled up because some moron wants to dig up the road at a minor junction. so they control said junction with 3-way lights (and we know how well those things work :rolleyes:)
Queues of up to 40 minutes coming in this morning, up to 20 minutes going out plus long tailbacks on some of the other roads joining this main road.

Of course, it wouldn't occur to do this work last week during the hols, or overnight? In any case, the road is a 4 cars wide at that point (OK, I'm talking about parked cars & not driven) - so why block most of the road off?
