What's made you grumpy today?

I only passed my test in February and being only 21 , i must be a '' boy racer'' :bang::bang:

I assumed you'd being driving a lot longer than that tbh...clearly not but congrats on passing!

Im nearly 24 and my insurance is cheap though, when i first passed i paid on my ole car £210 a month i now pay £99 a month (on the punto) as i got my 2nd year ncd not long ago, but with insurers its always the case of guys getting insurance automatic assumption "he must be a boy racer..." ridiculous but its life :(

You sure 1200 a year is the best you can do? I was insuring the Swift with mods declared when I was 24 with a claim on my record (none fault tbf but many companies still charge) for 600 a year. Obviously based on area ratings but with the swift being jap insurance companies like to take your eyes.

210*12= 2520
99*12 = 1188

sorry to say benny, but either your postcode is letting you down
or your insurance company have well and truly had your pants down

I paid back in 2008 when i first passed, 1600 for my first punto
Now on year 5 or 6 cant remember now, i'm on about 600 for the year

Paying in installments doesn't help, they charge extra, but you seem to be paying way over the odds....

I pay extra for breakdown cover not sure how much extra, but its £920.50 a year but yes doing it monthly adds interest which im aware of but I didn't have £920.50 in my bank to cover that, only half that :(

It's fully comp as well.

go out to seal up the centre section of the 306's exhaust, only my jack decides to give up the ghost and my brother has "moved" his axle stands from his lock up. then I notice that the clutch pedal in the 306 has got stiffer and worse... then it seized up. queue a rebuild of the linkage. luckily just gunked up and dry pivots but a ball ache at the side of the road as its buried underneath the air intakes and throttle bodies
