No lucking finding a spare chip for the punto(n)
Still going ahead with the homemade induction kit even if it's just for a bit more noise at 3/4 - full throttle (y)

Also, I dont have enough axle stands to do the car brakes:bang: Time for a trip to Halfords! (where i'll no doubt spend more than i have to on things i don't need:p)

1 axle stand should be enough - just do one corner at a time?

Don't you have a local motorfactors? My local one stocks car jacks and stands at 50% of the price of halfrauds...

Sadly no, almost every shop closed down during the past 2 years:(
If your looking to rent a shop there are a lot to choose from around here. Large garages with car parks, to small corner shops...

Just finished stage 2 of 3 for my homemade induction kit:D
The prototype was fab, not too loud, only heard above 3/4 throttle.
This one (without duct tape:p) is much louder:( I suspect the echo in the air box is the cause... Hopefully once the cold air feeds are in place it will be quieter (y)

Also, I've made it through to the next stage of interviews for the job i want.:D:bang: Having accepted a job this morning:p Hopefully if i get this job i can get a start date at the end of the job i've just started?

37.38 Mpg:p
Filled up 46.31L (Tank Size is 47L total)
Millage 380.8Miles

Cut it a bit close this time:p
New Induction Kit fitted hence the low mpg this tank;) Once it's finished i will gain some mpg back(y) (I hope! ha ha)
 
put my old engine in mrs daves car it wont start, fires for a sec but that is all wont run.
got new plugs they spark but have got soot on already
changed cam crank knock sensors, no change, its getting fuel coz i can smell it, i stuck

Edit thought id try the pour a bit of petrol in inlet manifold trick, set engine on fire :eek: :band: don't seem to have damaged nothing though

Do you have the correct ECU in the car? does it have all the same sensors as the original engine?

I'n a similar scenario I've seen someone struggle to start an engine. RAC came out and checked it had fuel and spark. Said generally if you can smell fuel it's running too rich. RAC dude removed air filter and cleared loose materials / debris away, pulled fuse for fuel pump and then turned it for a few seconds - it started then he got the fuse back in fairly quickly and all was good. Until the driver got to the next roundabout and stalled - wouldn't start so had to do the same again......
 
its a 1.2 ecu but it ran on my 1.2 ecu too before i had it mapped for the 1.4, ive tried changing all sensors, it ran when i poured fuel in before it caught fire, so im thinking not enough fuel is getting in, charging laptop up to test injectors, if that dont work i'll have to ring oggy see how much it be to put my map on this ecu
 
My kayak was taken away today :cry:(n) the fibreglass has degraded from sunlight and there's a few holes in it - I don't have the time to repair it so I've given it to someone who can.

SWMBO in a really really bad mood too :bang:

Yep, it happened again. My ladyfriend I thought the world of left me, again, after a miserable week and a bit from the last hiccup. This time I was given different reasons, I didn't like and had to accept. Let her go this time after a good talk, I didn't bother trying to talk her around. Says its definite this time. Having another yap about it on Sat :rolleyes:

I feel so stupid after the last time, I put in a lot of effort to to to get things back right. But no. Never good enough.

After all the confidence boosts I got this week between passing my 2nd year of college, selling that yellow car, helping my friends out of difficulty, talking to my counsellor telling her how I feel much better. This happens. Quite a sinking feeling, a real kick in the face.

I'm quite angry that it happened again. Not raising my hopes, going to go out again once more like I used to. Deep down I'm just destroyed, I just give up. I feel used :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

That sucks. No matter how tempting don't let her do it again. Will be 2x as bad and feel it all over again :(

After talking to 2 mates of mine and my dad (father son talk :)) I feel much different now. The part of me that wants to get back is diminishing an I'm thinking if she wants back, I ain't doing it, no no. Just need a few more days to let this settle in my mind and I can move on in comfort :)

It's just really annoying this happened :mad: (ironically I was testing out a Fiat Stilo at the time I had just fitted new parts to and tracked!)

The first few days are the hardest I guess. I don't wanna wake up someday roaring out how I miss her :cry: But I don't think I'll be going down that route (y)

Onwards and upwards :slayer:

Trying to plan a holiday, found a really nice villa, private pool, cheap, perfect really apart from the hour drive from the airport :mad:
Would cost loads in taxi fares and neither of us want to drive there..
 
The door catch just broke on my dishwasher. This means I have to wash up. ME! WASH UP! I tired to tape the door shut with duct tape but that didnt work. I guess Ill just have to be brave, buy some marigolds and tough it out:(
