I don't like the new Xbox360, it's so noisy.
33 DB while playing a game
26 DB while at idle(n)
Really irritating buzz. The Xbox is not broken. So I'm told by the store.
That says it all right there, the fact i took it back to the store thinking it broken it's so bad:p

My PS3 is 18 DB at idle and 24 DB when making most noise(y)

I've still got it though. Hopefully i will just get used to the noise and won't notice it after a while:(

you should hear my desktop. all of the panels are loose, the hard drives buzz like hell and the fans are really unbalanced. add the insane graphics card i bought when i was last in work it sounds like a hair dryer on top of all the rattles.

my car makes less noise going down a gravel track!

also that is a grump lol
 
Start work at 5:45 and not tired yet :(.

Also, went to the gym this morning and worked pretty hard, legs and chest are hurting a bit still! I was planning on working on my back and biceps after work, but think it will just be the bike for a hour!

Ha ha, sounds abit like my desktop also:p although mine is rather old now.
An update to my grump. My Brand New Xbox 360 took 5 attempts to turn on last night:bang: The green light came on to say it's on but the controllers would not connect (wired or wireless) and the TV would get no signal from the Xbox. on the 6th attempt it came into life with the green ring also lighting up.

But a 40 min car journey in High winds that push my car making it change line on the motorway just to take this Xbox 360 back, Again. just isn't worth it:(

I've found a vid on youtube showing this problem. This vid shows the xbox making the buzzing noise that is "normal"


Even more of a grump:
"Online orders cannot be returned to GAME Concessions Stores." I have to post the xbox back getting a receipt from the post office. Gahhh, so much hassle, parking rules around here i can't drive to the post office so i have to work 20 mins to get there carrying this rubbish. :(

Gahh, High winds have resulted in damage to my car :( I've tried to do a temp repair but no luck.
Phone line is crackly and I'm trying to get though to (hopefully) my employer for July. This just seems to be a bad day to do anything...

I work at game and we take returns for online stuff :confused:
 
Can't believe how tired I am! I was planning on going to the gym after work, but I still ache after seeing my personal trainer yesterday.

Going to get something to eat and then go to bed I think!

Yeah, I miss understood what was written on the website. I'm taking it back to a Game store, Also found out that there is a store just 2 miles away! I've kept going 10 miles to what used to be the closest store:p

Hopefully this will be sorted by the end of today. (y)
 
Update about the Xbox.
This noise and the Console freezing is "Normal" says the people in the Game store.:(
This is my first Xbox, bro's have one also (older model) and this "whisper Quite" is a load of Crap! I've come from my PS3 (still have & use original 60GB upgraded to 750GB) and it's no where near as loud as this new Xbox Slim.

Staff were rude to start with (manager was worse) but it was near the end of the day when everyone wants to get home so i'll let them off this time.
 
our xbox doesn't make a lot of noise we have 2 an older one and a new slim one and neither makes a lot of noise however the new one is slower and freezes more than the old one but think thats to do with it being a smaller hard drive
 
Still awake was up till 3am last night, I hope it doesn't take that long for my stomach to settle this time (n)

It'll teach me to eat prawns even though I know I am allergic to them :eek: but still normally only bad for a few hours not days :cry:

mine makes a right racket but that's because its an older one and i run it with the case off :p

my brothers one, one of them new ones doesn't make any noise

if i were you i would just take it back and swap it for another one
