My grump - spent 3 hours trying to read an ECU from a Ford Fiesta Zetec LX 1.25 - No response from ECU...
Is it dead?!
"New" ecu for £35 from ebay but a pain to try and swap... is it worth it, or is the fault with the software?

Were cutting down on the collection of cars here to make way for new stuff and first on the chop list was my TD100. My final sight and memory of that car was on the way out of the scrapyard, seeing a grab pick it up (destroying the remains of the car in the process) and put it in the crusher. A sad moment to see the death of my old car

Checked my MPG for the first time in a while, it was on 30.1 But then again i do love the noise of my induction kit a lot now but taking it kinda easy it soon shot back upto 35 and it was only a 7 mile journey lol

lol well tbh i think one of my lambda sensors isnt working as well as it should because i dont think ive ever got it into the 50s even doing over 100 miles steady motorway driving the most i got was like 47 so that wont be helping me much

Getting 46 in mine so far and thats not even long steady runs now that I dont use it for work anymore.

Advertised my fishtank and hifi for sale on gumtree need the money as things in my life are changing at a very scary rate!

Passengers window motor and motor relay packed up on my dads car, meaning I half cooked in that car on a 3 hour drive! :dead:

what made me angry and stressed lol) today..well.
sundays are my only day off and this morning i woke at 7.40 :bang: so went back to bed after getting up,letting the dogs out and making a bru.
Eventually around half 12 i get up,around 1ish i set to sort 4 things on my car this afternoon.Firstly the Alternator,i could not get it off cos i didnt have a 19mm socket and by the time i had stripped it all i was roasting and sweaty and didnt have a car to hand to nip to a car shop for one.
Secondly i thought ill put the rear discs and pads on,and could i get the caliper bolts off? could i heck,didnt have the right tool and i think i have nearly rounded it using a torx bit that fit :bang: So i thought ill take off the main earth lead on the box and give it a clean (as i been advised to) well i sorted that problem.Wether it has sorted my problem i dont know lol
So then it was knocking on half 4,i was dripping in this heat and i could not be bothered to replace the window motor as me and the gf had to be out at 6. All in all,a day wasted,well 5 hours of it

Gota wait til next weekend now as i got a mate helping me.

I don't think today could get much worse.

Im not gonna be able to find a new job in time for when stupid Harry Potter comes out

Streak-free rinse, as long as it's not that rain that brings muck/fine sand with it.

Much fewer marks left behind than tap water, anyway.

Streak free anyway I never let water sit to dry, always dry it by hand.

yeah i do same,hate leavin it to drip dry.streaks like mad and you can see where the bubbles are.go over it with a decent chamois and once the windows are dry go over them with kitchen roll for streak free clean windows

Hate the fact of every bolt that i try to undo on the punto is so difficult! and now have to wait for my front drop till tomorrow :bang:
