What's made you grumpy today?

My cousin's wife has decided to leave him (well, kick him out) after three years of marriage.
He's been suffering with depression since he lost his well-paid job during the recession. However, he managed to find work in an old-folks home almost straight away. I think this is the cause of his depression as he hates it but he realises it is at least an income.
His wife constantly complains at him because he is not earning enough money despite working every shift going - no doubt another major contributor to his depression.
He is a good bloke, and despite his depression, tries to put a happy front on all the time for fear of making other people (mainly the mrs) miserable.

A few days ago she told him she couldn't cope with his depression and lack of ambition any more as she needs to consider herself and her career, and it would be best if he left.

He is seriously bent out of shape and I'm really worried about him

Spot on

Hopefully he will realise all this sooner rather than later, but the depression complicates things. She was the one thing in his life he thought he could rely on. Such a sad situation.

Sounds like a right F***ing cow.

Just make sure your there for him depression is a powerful thing especially if it ain't managed sooner rather than later.

How terrible for him, marry a right bitch who decides to help your depression by kicking you out.

Make sure you are them for him and that he KNOWS that. Right now I'm guessing he feels like everyone has let him down, you need to help him see that he is still wanted.

Poor guy. He deserves someone far better!
I've just lost my job today and hope my other half doesn't do the same although hes been fabulous lately so I would like to think he won't.
Hope things improve for him.

Got an old 17 inch CRT out of my attack to find out it's knackered

Really tired

...was meant to be working 1500 to 1930, but got asked to work till 2315

...only good thing was it gave me a good way of asking to finish early on Saturday to go on duty in town

lol, just wish I could do it full time, got to drive around off road for 2 hours today

, rumour says that they won't be taking the last two groups who passed all the tests on until 2012...god knows when they'll be opening the doors again if thats true

Got two so far, drunk and disorderly, and ABH, good chance of getting one on Saturday as well, doing some public order in town.

Trying to explain to a girl that she REALLY doesn't understand why I like cars and in her efforts to prove she does she pretty much told me my car is worthless and I should of just bought one that works.

Two things about that:
1) proves she doesn't understand, it's not about owning a working car for me - most of the fun is in the restoration. Learning about the car, about cars in general and putting in wrench time that will pay off ten fold in the coming years is WHY I bought it.
2) she pretty much insulted something I'd consider as an extension of myself and by god she surely did realise that. She then wondered why I was being pissy at her for that and now I'm in trouble for being annoyed.

ask her to add up all the time and money she has spent on her hair and make up and all that other stuff and see how much of a difference there is

and then look at what you get out of your thing and what she gets out of hers
