personally i think the traction control issue was due to the number of people who only watch it for the crashes. you are tossers :p (although i'm happy about traction control not been used)

i'm liking Raikkonen this season, he's hungry. bring on bahrain.

I would love to support Ferrari (as it bears a fiat badge on the front)

however I follow Hamilton as he's a british driver and he's my age.

In the same way that I support my local football club over any premiership side.

Disappointed by the race to be honest, wasn't any real entertainment. Highlight was Massa's falling off the track, and as if that was spectacular...

i would love to support ferrari but they're a bunch of arrogant pricks and have been for as longas i can remember (in true italian style so it suits the team i guess). its the ferrari effect, much like the bmw effect but magnified 50 times. its hard to support people who act like they're the best. by all means be the best, but dont think you're the best.

I've seen more boring and pointless racing.. BTCC is turning into bumper cars with blatent contact ignored by the race stewards because it's good for TV.

F1 is looking better with the removal of driver aids, the removal of winglettes will surely being it back to the exciting days when overtaking was possible. F1 isn't supposed to be loads of overtaking - if you want that watch 125 bike racing. It's single seater endurance racing. Nearly 2 hours of the most intense racing possible.

If anything it's boring because the drivers are getting so good.

I don't agree...I think it had gotten so boring because the drivers had so much in the way of aids to use the assistance to both accleration and braking, so it had become exceedingly difficult to chuck it into a sand pit. If they were THAT good the first two races without traction wouldn't have looked like banger racing in comparision to year before what was it 5 finished in melbourne?, Also with driver aids massa wouldn't have chucked it off the road from second. I'm glad they've knocked the driver aids on the head, thought racing was meant to be about driver skill.

Getting back to ITV losing the races to the BBC, there are rumours that Clarkson and Co will be taking the helm of the F1 shows,,

From Planet F1,,,,

Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond is in pole position to become the lead commentator when the BBC takes over the broadcasting of F1 races next season.

With the BBC announcing they've bought the rights to F1 from Bernie Ecclestone after ITV's withdrawal, the race is now on to see who will take over from James Allen and Martin Brundle as the UK's new commentators.

And according to the Times, Hammond, who survived a high-speed crash while trying to break the British land speed record for Top Gear two years ago, is the most likely candidate for the job.

The newspaper also reported that the BBC are planning on letting the 'Hamster', as Hammond is known, along with Jeremy Clarkson and James May, loose at grand prix weekends in an attempt to extend the audience beyond "petrolheads."

I think that it is a really bad idea letting them anywhere near F1 as they have all stated in the past that it is boring, well I enjoy my F1 and as much as I enjoy Top Gear (I'm starting to love Fith Gear more now) I do not want them ruining the sport I love.

they've already ruined motoring programmes as we know them, please dont let them turn F1 into an entertainment show too. you can imagine it now, each race will be called an episode, and instead of racing each other the F1 cars will be racing BMX bikes, trains and jetskis. we'll have interviews with the drivers where the main topic of discussion is german history and food, and best of all JC will be making a mockery of himself trying to talk about downforce as if it is something you can buy in a tin.

Look at the drivers coming through the lower formulas - they're faster than ever without any driver aids. The drivers are better, some have grown to rely on the traction control (massa) but many others have genuine skill.

A few drivers threw it off the road, but that's what happens when you're really going for it. It's a fine line between fastest laps and gravel traps.

That is why I am starting to prefer 5th Gear now. I have Emailed the BBC asking, no begging them, not to let the Top Gear presenters anywhere near the sport I have enjoyed for so long. DON'T DO IT BBC!!!!!
