does anyone get the ebay buzz when they are bidding on a item and its coming to the end and your about to drop your last bid in in the dying seconds hoping your going to win it. pressing the refresh button again and again to make sure no one has put there higher bid in a couple of seconds after you. it really gets my heart pumping and all excited.:D

I syncronise my watch countdown timer to the time left of the auction. I then decide my maximum bid long before the auction ends. If it hasn't reached my maximum bid with 5 minutes to go I refresh the page. Once it goes under 1 minute and is still below my maximum bid I go to the bid page and place my maximum bid. I don't, however, press "confirm bid" until there's less than about 8 seconds to go.

If someone bid more than my maximum in the last minute and I lose then I don't worry about it. If I win then all I can say is snipe bidding is for winners! :D

Except this only works when I'm near a computer at the end of an auction...

Yes, I get excited. For some random reason I never actually bid my maximum bid and if it's getting close, go back and revise it upwards just in case  It's even worse where you know it's the only chance you'll have to get something as well - some things come along all the time and others you are lucky to find just once!

i've got 5 auctions on the go selling at the minute and there coming along nicely apart from one which has 9 watchers and no bids, i wish one of them would just get the ball running and put a bid on.:)

I love the last 1 minute of my selling items, its such a buzz to see the rpice go up and up

however i hate it when people ask if you have a buy it now price for something and you say make me an offer...you never hear back off them lol

I get the buzz too its quite good. Usually if i'm winning an auction I open the link on 2 pages. I use 1 page to constantly refresh the page in the last minute and on the other page i'll have place a bid of the max I want to pay, press OK then leave it on the confirm page. If anybody outbids me even with <7 secs to go I can click bid and either bump the price up or win.

Phew...

was watching a SCSI card earlier this week and forgot about it. Logged on and 15 mins to go! Luckily there was only one other bidder and I was prepared to pay more - but still stupidly below the RRP. Must admit I had a hell of a buzz in the last minute when you refresh.. 46 seconds... refresh 35 seconds... enter amount... password.... confirm.... refresh... 3 seconds!

Here's to the fastest windows XP machine I've ever used
